Overview:
THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RELOCATION.

This position has the responsibility to develop and support sales strategy to ensure maximum sales in a given region. This position provides up-stream product development support to marketing.


Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.

1. Develop and execute specific region, district and account-level strategies with sales personnel.
2. Drive product team (e.g. PICC) creation in eligible accounts to build market share.
3. In conjunction with BAS Sales Management, develop sales strategy to target independent product contractors.
4. Develop key relationships with hospital administration personnel to gain market access for sales personnel.
5. Work with Sales Management to develop and execute sales strategies targeting GPOs/IDNs to drive market growth.
6. Support trade shows, educational events and National sales meetings as requested.
7. Function as a product technical expert for sales staff.
8. Identify potential in existing and adjacent markets to increase market share.
9. Assist sales personnel by disseminating marketing materials to hospital administration.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

1. Bard product knowledge, including attributes, usage and benefits.
2. Ability to assist in drafting effective business plans to grow BAS business.
3. Knowledge derived from clinical experience in ICU, oncology, radiology, and/or PICC placement.
4. Business and industry acumen.
5. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Demonstrated ability to work with physicians, nurses and other hospital personnel.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially business plans.
7. Understanding of protocols for key disease states served by BAS products.
8. Some knowledge of reimbursement and medical device regulatory issues.
9. Ability to manage multiple customers and strong organizational skills.
10. Exceptional strategic selling and negotiation skills.
11. Ability to develop and deliver excellent public presentations.
12. Ability to develop product information materials in conjunction with Marketing.
13. Sound decision making and analytical skills.
14. Ability to keep current on product, market and industry trends.


Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a BSRN or BS with clinical experience; an MBA is preferred. This position requires one to two years of sales or business development experience, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment. One year of training experience required.

This position also requires demonstrated human relation and communication skills, strong business and financial acumen. This position requires up to 80% travel. Qualified candidates must be customer focused and results oriented.

The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.
