Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the design, planning, installation and ongoing maintenance of Bards LAN infrastructure.


Essential Job Functions:

* Lead in planning, installation, management and upgrade of VMware and SAN storage environments.
* Lead in planning, installation, management and upgrade of Citrix Server farm.
* Responsible for monitoring and reporting on network performance.
* Lead in planning, installation, management and upgrade of Wintel Server environments.
* Develop, implement, maintain best practices and enforce standards across all areas of responsibility as appropriate for the business.
* Standardize functions and procedures across all areas of responsibility.
* Implement and manage metrics to continuously improve service to our customers and assure relevance to needs.
* Deliver secure and reliable LAN architecture (including wireless) designs to Divisional IT and Corporate.
* Encourage continuing technology and business education for all staff members.
* Maintain the expertise required to implement and maintain solutions that are resilient and scalable.
* Identifies, tracks, manages and resolves technology support issues.
* Support upper management (IT and business) with information as requested.
* Manage IT projects through all stages of design, development, and implementation.
* Manage vendor relationships, assist in contract approvals and execute RFP’s as required.



Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Ability to interact with members of cross functional teams.
A thorough understanding of IP and inter-networking.
The ability to prepare concise documentation of a technical nature.
Ability to operate and interpret data gathered by a network analyzer.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in a multi-tiered networking environment.
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
Ability to assess business issues and to interpret them into technology support requirements.
Minimum of 10 years of related Windows Server and internetworking experience in an Enterprise environment. The ability to manage a diverse range of technologies. Must have excellent project management, communication and writing skills.


Education and/or Experience:
